North Myrtle Beach plastic bag ban passes final reading, will begin Jan. 2021

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – North Myrtle Beach’s ban on single-use plastic bags now has the green light.

Council passed the second and final reading on it Monday night.

The ban will go into effect on January 1, 2021.

It does not affect the use of any plastic straws or cups or Styrofoam cups.
