SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – A man was charged Monday with riding his motorcycle on a Sevierville greenway and nearly hitting pedestrians.

The Sevierville Police Department says James Pritchett, 19, has been charged with reckless endangerment.

Witnesses said Pritchett was riding his motorcycle on West Prong Greenway around 1:40 p.m. Monday at a high rate of speed and he almost hit several pedestrians.

Pritchett was found and arrested a short time later.

Police say using any motorized vehicles on city greenways and trails is forbidden.
