Former Tennessee corrections officer charged with felony burglary and arson

A former Tennessee correctional officer from Church Hill is set to appear in Bristol General Court on Monday for several charges, including felony burglary and arson.  

Dwayne Carlton Cagle is currently in Bristol, Virginia Jail for offenses stemming from earlier this month.  

According to court documents, Cagle faces felony charges of destruction of property over $1,000, arson and breaking into a home.  

Tennessee Departments of Corrections confirms that Cagle served as a correctional officer at the Northeast Tennessee Correctional Facility until he resigned in 2015.  

Cagle is also expected to appear in Bristol court Feb. 14 on a separate charge of disseminating images of another person.
