Bluefield, VA Police search for missing mother and daughter

BLUEFIELD, VA (WVNS) – A woman and her diabetic daughter have been missing for more than 24 hours.  Bluefield, Virginia Police have asked for help from the community to find them.

Leigha Walker, 31, and her daughter Rhianna, 8, were last seen on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018.  Leigha’s husband told investigators that the two left to take Rhianna to school and have not been seen since.  The school reported that the girl did not show up for school.

There are additional concerns because the girl is insulin dependent and her diabetic supplies were left behind.

Leigha Walker is a white woman who stands 5-feet 6-inches tall and weighs 220-pounds.  She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Rhianna Walker is a black girl who is 4-feet tall and weighs 62-pounds.  She has black hair and brown eyes.

The two are believed to be traveling in a 1999 white Ford Crown Victoria.  Investigators said it may not have a license plate or could have the plate from a different vehicle on it.
