Study reveals women have higher rate of obesity than men in Northeast TN

A study from the University of Washington shows the rate of obesity county by county in Tennessee.

The study’s interactive map shows the percentage for women and men, and also shows the rates of mortality.

In Washington County, TN, about 37% of women and 31% of men are obese.

The study says 38% of women in Sullivan County are obese compared to 36% of men.

Overall, the study showed in Northeast Tennessee more women are obese than men.
