Regional counties implement mask mandate in all courthouses until August 1


Tenn. (WJHL) — The Third Judicial District will require masks to be worn in all courthouses until August 1, following a district-wide spike in novel coronavirus cases.

Counties in effect include Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, and Hawkins.

Exceptions include the following:

  • witness who is giving testimony
  • judges on the bench
  • lawyers addressing the court
  • clerks who are socially distanced
