KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Tennessee landed a No. 2 seed in the South Region of the NCAA Tournament and will begin its run through the bracket in Columbus, Ohio on Friday against No. 15 Colgate.
The Raiders (24-10) earned a ticket the big dance for the first time since 1996. Colgate sophomore point guard Jordan Burns scored 35 points in Raiders’ 94-80 win over Bucknell in the Patriot League Tournament championship game on Wednesday.
Colgate enters the NCAA Tournament riding a school-record 11-game win streak as part of the program’s most successful season in more than 60 years.
