Most people know Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs as “Kane” from his time in the wrestling ring.

Many fans were in for a treat when Jacobs let his alter ego take over at the National Association of Sports Commissions Symposium.

“Yeah, I’m mayor but that’s not all,” Jacobs says before donning his signature mask and slamming another person on stage through a table.

The slam kicked off the event on Tuesday. It was held at the Knoxville Convention Center. The symposium, set to run through Thursday, hosts over a thousand sports event industry leaders for educational sessions and other opportunities.

Needless to say, the event’s opening was a slam.
