DETROIT (AP) – Police say surveillance video from a neighborhood market shows a man abducting a 13-year-old Detroit boy.

Detroit Police Chief James Craig tells reporters Wednesday afternoon that the “suspect grabbed” Deontae Mitchell’s arm and “forced him into the rear passenger side” of a black Chevrolet Impala.

Craig also says it appears the man was armed with a revolver.

An Amber Alert was issued earlier Wednesday. Deontae’s cousin told investigators they were riding bikes about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they saw an apparently drunken man drop money while he was urinating outside the east side market. The cousin said Deontae picked up the money and they left.

Craig says the video shows Deontae riding a bike and at some point being pursued by the man.Copyright 2016 AP. All rights reserved.
