GRAY, TN (WJHL) – Beginning early Friday morning free medical, dental, and vision care will be available to people in the Tri-Cities region.

The Remote Area Medical clinic returns to the fairgrounds in Gray.

Thursday night we found rows of cars and tents as hundreds were hoping to be some of the first in line to see a doctor.

Members of the Tennessee State Guard were also on hand, and will be through the duration of the clinic to ensure things run smoothly.

While the clinic opens at 6 a-m, organizers say ticket distribution typically begins around 3 a-m and patients are seen in order of ticket number.

Last year the clinic served more than 800 people.

The clinic runs through Sunday, Nov. 4.
