ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. (WFLA) – A Pasco County woman was arrested Wednesday morning after deputies say a child was found wandering a road in Zephyrhills alone.

According to an arrest report, a person found the 2-year-old child walking toward State Road 54 alone just before 7 a.m. The witness wasn’t sure where the child came from and brought it to a nearby fire station.

About two hours later, deputies were able to get in touch with 28-year-old Jordan Leigh Carr, who was at her job.

Carr admitted to deputies that she left the 2-year-old unsupervised while she went to work, according to the arrest report.

Carr was arrested for child neglect and taken to the Land O Lakes Jail.
