FBI seeks to identity person of interest in child rape case

National

(WJHL) – The Federal Bureau of Investigation needs your help identifying an unknown man who may have what investigators are calling, “critical information” about the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation case.

Detectives are referring to the man as “John Doe 40.”

John Doe 40 is described as a white man between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. The FBI says he appears to be heavyset with dark hair.

In the video, agents say the man is heard speaking English.

Anyone who has information about this man can send a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov/, or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).

The FBI says no charges have been filed in this case. The case is apart of the agency’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program.
