Mount Carmel man charged in 2015 Baileyton fire

NASHVILLE, TN (WJHL) – A Mount Carmel man was arrested on multiple charges including arson and fraud, following a fire in Baileyton on Jan. 11, 2015.

According to a Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance news release, state bomb and arson officers arrested Kenneth Rader, 58, on arson, reckless endangerment, a false report and insurance fraud related to the 2015 fire on Bailey Street in Baileyton.

Rader was arrested by officers at his home on Oak Street in Mount Carmel on Jan. 5, 2016.

He was taken to the Greene County Jail by Baileyton Police, where he was being held on $62,000 bond.

“This is another good example of cooperation between state and local law enforcement agents to help make Tennessee a safer place,” TDCI Deputy Commissioner Gary West said.
