Blountville, TN (WJHL) — The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a man they say violated sex offender registry laws.
George Frederick Matson, 78, is listed as a sex offender in Tennessee and, therefore, is required to check in every three months with authorities.
But according to the SCSO, Matson has not been in contact with authorities in a year.
Matson’s last known address was in the South Holston Dam area of Sullivan County.
The state website now lists Matson as “absconded.”
