GREENE COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – Prosecutors dropped the voluntary manslaughter case against a Greene County man after grand jurors concluded there wasn’t enough evidence to move forward.
Investigators previously charged David Wiles in connection to the June 2015 shooting death of Stacy Hayes; a man they said died from at least two gunshot wounds.
A judge dismissed the case against Wiles Friday after all parties learned a Greene County grand jury recently returned a No True Bill on second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in the case.
Third Judicial District Attorney General Dan Armstrong told us prosecutors have no other evidence to present to the grand jury.Copyright WJHL 2016. All rights reserved.
