Man wanted in Jonesborough triple homicide captured in New Orleans by U.S. Marshals

WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) – A Jonesborough man wanted for the murders of three people in Washington County this weekend has been arrested in New Orleans.

Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal confirmed Saturday night that Daniel L. Henry, 38, had been captured in New Orleans by U.S. Marshals.

According to a Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s news release, Henry was arrested after 8:30 p.m. by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, which includes officers from the New Orleans Police Department and the Louisiana State Police.

Henry was taken to the Orleans Parish Prison.

WCSO issued an outstanding warrant for Henry for three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Robert Kenneth Henry, 66, Melody Diane Henry, 55, and Barbara June Hammonds, 64.

Henry was also added to TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted List Saturday after WCSO found the three bodies inside Skyline Road home in Jonesborough Saturday morning.

Graybeal said central dispatch received a call from California from someone saying that Henry had called a friend to say he’d killed his family.

Earlier reports indicated that Henry might have been headed to California and was considered by local law enforcement as armed and dangerous.Copyright 2015 WJHL. All rights reserved.
