Mall at Johnson City: Bring in your mall receipts now through Sept. 27, area schools win cash

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) – The Mall at Johnson City wants to give back to the community in a big way with its Earning for Learning contest

All you need is a little school spirit and your old mall receipt.

Now through September 27, 2015, each dollar spent at the mall can be turned into points for the school of your choice.

Each week, points from select stores will be doubled. In addition, mall gift cards purchases are worth triple the points.

Shoppers can redeem their receipts for points at the mall’s Guest Services Center and designate tier points to the school of their choice.

The mall will keep a running tally of the running total of points for each school.

At the end of the contest, the top five schools will be awarded cash prizes of $10,000, $6500, $4500, $2500 and $1500. Last year, more than 701,000 points were totaled for schools in the Tri-Cities.

Last year’s grand prize winner was Tri-Cities Christian School.

Every school in the Tri-Cities area is eligible to receive a prize.
