A Delaware man is facing stolen vehicle charges after being caught speeding in Washington County, Va. on Monday.
According to Sheriff Fred Newman, a deputy working radar assignment on Interstate 81 spotted a dark-colored Ford Edge drive past him. The man was going 84 mph in a 70 mph zone.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. A check of the vehicle registration showed the car was stolen in Pennsylvania.
Rayshawn K. Selby, 21, of Newcastle, Delaware, was arrested. He is charged with felony grand larceny of a vehicle and issued a summons for speeding.
Selby is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail at Abingdon on a $7,500 secure bond.
