(WJHL) — When disaster strikes in the region, the American Red Cross is there to help.
2020 is expected to be a busy year for the Northeast Tennessee chapter.
Heather Carbajal is entering her first year as executive director and stopped by News Channel 11’s studio Saturday morning to talk with Ashley Sharp about what’s ahead for the 13 counties serviced by the agency.
You can watch the interview above.
Carbajal says the winter months are often a busy time for the Red Cross, due to fire season being in full swing.
The Red Cross also offers a variety of activites and special events throughout the year.
