Officials with the City of Johnson City, East Tennessee State University, and Public Building Authority will hold an informational meeting regarding the sale of the Millennium Centre property.
The meeting will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the Millennium Centre.
Thursday evening, the Johnson City Board of Commissioners unanimously approved selling the conference and convention center to ETSU.
The purchase price: $5,824,584.
Mayor David Tomita told News Channel 11 the city has been forced to subsidize the Millennium Centre’s budget by as much as $600,000 in recent years.
