ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – It was a busy Easter weekend across the region for many, including officers in Elizabethton.
On Sunday, authorities surrounded a tree at the intersection of Broad Street that a bear cub had climbed into. Police were able to safely bring the bear down using a net.
Police Chief Jason Shaw said the cub is now in the care of a nearby rescue.
