Washington County, Va. becomes Second Amendment sanctuary after unanimous vote


WASHINGTON COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) – Washington County, Virginia leaders voted Tuesday night to declare the county a Second Amendment sanctuary.

The Board of Supervisors’ vote was unanimous in favor of the resolution in support of gun rights.

The resolution is not legally binding.

It sends a message that county leaders pledge not to use any of the county’s funds to enforce legislation that they deem would infringe on its citizens’ Second Amendment rights.
