A Virginia State Police Trooper is being recognized for his work after administering NARCAN to save an officer’s life.
According to a Facebook post from VSP, Trooper A.T. Stuart was at the Richmond City Justice Center when he noticed an officer from the Richmond Police Department was having trouble breathing. Stuart was able to administer department-issued NARCAN, saving the officer’s life.
It is suspected the officer that had issues breathing had been exposed to drugs after making an arrest.
The officer was checked out at a regional hospital and later sent home.
Thank you, Trooper Stuart, and all VSP members, for all your hard work!
