RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — One person is dead and another injured after a crash in Russell County Monday night.
According to Virginia State Police (VSP), a single vehicle crashed on Route 71 near Route 611 in Russell County shortly just before midnight on Monday.
The driver, Machelle Brouillard, 64, of Castlewood, Va., reportedly died at the scene and a passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries, VSP stated.
Brouillard and Horton were reportedly not wearing seatbelts and both were ejected from the vehicle during the crash, according to VSP.
The crash remains under investigation.
