HonorAir will have a very special guest when they depart for Washington D.C. with a flight full of veterans.
VFL and current Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Josh Dobbs has requested to serve as an escort to for an April 10 HonorAir flight to Washingon D.C.
This will be the 28th HonorAir flight to the nation’s capital. The organization takes veterans from the area to visit Washington D.C. memorials honoring their sacrifice. Knoxville HonorAir has taken more than 3,100 veterans to the nation’s capital.
Dobbs played quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers from 2013-2016. He holds the records for career rushing yards (2,160), career rushing touchdowns (32). His 3,781 yards to total offense during the 2016 season trails only Peyton Manning’s 1997 season as the most prolific in history by a Tennessee QB.
Dobbs finished with a 23-12 record as a starter at Tennessee, tying Condredge Holloway for the fifth-most wins by a starting QB.
