Vacant house in Dungannon destroyed in Wednesday morning fire

A vacant house in Dungannon, Va is destroyed after an early morning fire Wednesday.

According to Scott County dispatch, multiple crews responded to a structure fire on the 100 block of Hanging Rock Parkway around 2:25 a.m. 

The Dungannon Volunteer Fire Department tells News Channel 11 they worked the fire with help from Fort Blackmore Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Nickelsville Volunteer Fire Department. 

A neighboring home was damaged as crews worked to put out the fire. That home suffered melted siding and broken window but crews were able to keep it from catching fire. 

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
