JOHNSON COUNTY, TN (WJHL)- The family of a two-year-old girl still recovering from a bullet wound her head, say the little girl is a fighter.

Late Tuesday, the mother of Ariel, Christina Salaices, told News Channel 11 doctors at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville said Ariel has a good chance at survival.

That came after doctors said her intracranial pressure continued to drop following surgery.

Her family said Ariel was playing outside her house earlier this month when she was injured.

Johnson County investigators said no one has been charged in this case.

Family members have been keeping the public updated through a Facebook page called ‘Updates for Ariel.’
