Two injured, taken to hospital after single-vehicle crash in Hawkins Co.

HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people were injured after a crash on State Highway 66 Wednesday night.

The car was traveling south on the highway when the driver lost control going around a curve.

The vehicle skidded across the center lines and went off the left side of the road.

The car went down a 40-50 foot embankment and collided with a tree.

The 27-year-old driver was taken to Holston Valley Medical Center.

The passenger was transported to Johnson City Medical Center.

The extent of their injuries has not been reported yet.

Charges on the driver are currently pending.
