The City of Bristol, Tennessee is alerting the public to a load of materials that will impact traffic today.

A contractor working on the new Sullivan East Middle School will be transporting steel beams to the construction site today.

The material we’re told is extra wide and extra-long.

The city says the “truck will take the following route: from 2nd Street to State Street, turning left on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, then left on Weaver Pike until it gets to the site near Sullivan East.”

Traffic was expected to be impacted as early at 9:30 a.m.

The city is encouraging drivers to “avoid these areas if possible during the transport.”
