Construction at a popular Johnson City intersection is expected to begin today.
Road crews will begin work on installing a traffic signal and increased turn lanes where Peoples Street and Greenline Road meet.
Work is expected to start at 7 p.m. and last until 3 p.m.
The project will convert the four-way stop into a lighted intersection.
Traffic controls will be in place today during the period of construction.
Officials say the construction will take between three to four months to complete.
