SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Investigators have arrested a woman after finding more than three pounds of methamphetamine in her car during a traffic stop.

On Wednesday, Sullivan County deputies stopped Brittany Jane Chapman on N. John B. Dennis Highway.

In Chapman’s vehicle, authorities found “over three pounds of methamphetamine, two grams of cocaine, twelve ounces of marijuana, $1,100 in cash, numerous baggies, and two sets of digital scales.”

A warrant was also issued for Chapman’s motel room where authorities discovered “an additional ounce of methamphetamine and over $900 in cash.”

In a news release Friday, authorities said there was an arrest warrant for Chapman out of Scott County, Virginia on a charge of failure to appear on drug charges.
