Tennessee Highway Patrol’s ‘Ghost’ to patrol Tri-Cities region

Tennessee Highway Patrol is using a low-profile method to patrol area roads and catch impaired or distracted drivers.

THP rolled out what it calls “Ghost”. The incognito vehicles allow law enforcement markings to appear almost invisible giving troopers the opportunity to keep a closer eye on drivers without being detected immediately.

It does have the reflective stripes and decals on the sides and the rear for safety.

It is a fully outfitted 2018 Police Interceptor with blue lights. And it’s got the in-car l3 camera system and the technology of a normal police car.

THP says there are only four ghost vehicles in Tennessee and one of them will be on patrol in the Tri-Cities region.
