UPDATE: Escaped inmates Albert Ricketson and Johnny Brown were captured Friday evening in Hawkins County, according to the Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office.
The two were found hiding in the upstairs part of a barn on Cupp Hollow Road in Rogersville, about four miles from where the stolen vehicle they were traveling was found abandoned Friday morning in Bulls Gap, according to the sheriff’s office.
Ricketson and Brown were taken into custody just after 5 p.m., according to the U.S. Marshals.
Both were arrested without incident.
Federal authorities say the inmates had fled on foot after the stolen vehicle they were in ran out of gas.

HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL)– The Washington County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reports the stolen vehicle driven by two escaped inmates from an Abingdon facility was found Friday morning in Hawkins County, Tennessee.
A release from Washington County Sheriff Blake Andis states Johnny Shane Brown, 51, of Rogersville, and Albert Lee Ricketson, 31, of Abingdon escaped from the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail’s recreational yard at around 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The report goes on to say the gold-colored Cadillac SUV that the pair stole following their escape was located on Route 66 in Bulls Gap Friday morning. Johnny Brown and Albert Ricketson have not been located, according to the WCSO.
There is no information as of Friday morning on the make or model of a vehicle the two may now be operating, the release states. The WCSO states a $5,000 reward is being offered for each man by the U.S. Marshals Service for information leading to the apprehension of the two.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation named Brown and Ricketson in its Fugitive Friday feature on social media, following the discovery of the stolen vehicle they were operating in Bulls Gap.
Johnny Brown and Albert Ricketson are considered armed and dangerous, and the WCSO advises anyone who may spot them to not approach them, but call 911.
