Sullivan County Animal Shelter reopens after parvo outbreak, adoptions encouraged

The Sullivan County Animal Shelter reopened Monday after closing due to an outbreak of parvo.

The shelter stopped adoptions last week after two dogs tested positive for the virus.

A total of five dogs had to be euthanized according to the shelter.

Shelter staff conducted a deep clean while the facility was closed.

The shelter is encouraging people to adopt a cat or dog because the facility became full after stopping adoptions last week.
