Cherokee National Forest officials say a road in Johnson County has now reopened after a landslide.

Sink Mountain Road in Butler was closed for roughly a week due to a landslide.

According to an alert on the Cherokee National Forest website, “A 300’ section of the road going to the boat ramp has started developing a large slide.  The section has moved vertically down for about 1 foot.”

The road reopened over the weekend.
