Elizabethton Parks & Recreation is ushering in their Covered Bridge Jams musical series this weekend with the annual “Show on the Doe.”

The showing starts right after 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, at Covered Bridge Park.

Prior to the movie, people are encouraged to stop by the park for a free concert by Downtown Country. The concert gets underway at 7 p.m.

City staff will show “E.T.” to help kick off the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library’s Summer Reading Program for children.

The summer series offered by Parks & Rec is free and open to the public.
