A Tri-Cities business owner and wife of one of the region’s most well-known entrepreneurs has died.
Sharon Barger died Sunday in Kingsport at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of Pal Barger, the founder of Pal’s Sudden Service, the Tri-Cities-based fast food business.
Sharon Barger herself was a success in business, founding Sharon’s BBQ and operating “Skoby’s” restaurant alongside her husband.
“Sharon and her husband, Pal Barger, 88, of Kingsport, TN, have been supportive soul mates for over forty years,” according to an obituary released Monday. “They loved each other so deeply that everyone they touched for generations to come will remember their bond.”
Funeral services for Sharon Barger are set for Wednesday in Kingsport.
