Several injured, driver charged in Hawkins County crash Saturday

HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol crash report, multiple people were injured and a driver is facing charges after a two-vehicle crash in Hawkins County Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highway 11W around 3:45 p.m.

According to the report, the first vehicle driven by 35-year-old Sabrina Barnard, was traveling across U.S. Highway 11W to Futuristic Road.

The second driver was going east on Highway 11W.

The report says, Barnard failed to yield to the right of way to the second vehicle.

The front end of Barnard’s car hit the the second vehicle in the left middle side. The second vehicle then rolled over on its top coming to rest eastbound on Highway 11W in lane 1 and 2.

According to the report, Barnard is charged with driving on a revoked license and another charge related to insurance. She was injured.

The driver of the second vehicle was also injured, along with the adult passenger and one juvenile riding in the car. All passengers in that car, as well as Barnard, had their seatbelts on, the report said.
