(WJHL) — Sen. Martha Blackburn (R- Tenn.) responded to the death of 87-year-old Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg via Twitter on Friday, Sept. 18.

News Channel 11’s Ashley Sharp spoke with Blackburn via Zoom on Saturday, where the senator said, “If you look at precedent, you would have to go back to 1880 to find a time when the president and the senate of the SAME party left a Supreme Court vacancy. So the precedent is that you move forward.”
