Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) partners with Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) to introduce a new bill that would improve internet access for those in rural areas.

Sen. Blackburn says the bipartisan Internet Exchange (IX) Act will help close the digital divide in Tennessee by increasing internet access to those with the great need.

“You can’t have a 21st century education, 21st century healthcare, or a 21st century business without access to 21st century internet”, Sen. Blackburn said.

Internet Exchanges are physical locations where networks meet, allowing customers of different internet service providers to communicate. This increases network efficiency and improves the online product and experience for customers.
