Second Harvest, Walmart, & Feeding America launch annual hunger campaign

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee is teaming up with Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Feeding America to fight hunger. 

The group launched the 6th annual nationwide “Fight Hunger. Spark Change” campaign on Monday. 

Through May 20, shoppers can help fight hunger in three ways: by purchasing a participating item in-store or online, donating in-store, or donation on Feeding America’s website

For each participating product purchased, Walmart and Sam’s Club will donate the equivalent of at least one meal, which is about 10 cents, to a Feeding America food bank, like Second Harvest of Northeast Tennessee. 

Last year’s campaign benefited Second Harvest of Northeast Tennessee by about $77,000 dollars.
