JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — March is Women’s History Month, and News Channel 11 is recognizing the women who are making big differences in the Tri-Cities region.
This year marks the 4th year of News Channel 11’s Remarkable Women initiative, where we honor those who inspire, lead and forge the way for other women.
In November, viewers nominated the Remarkable Women in their lives, and out of 122 entries, four finalists were selected:
- Frankie Bailey
- Pat Martin
- Mary Beth Masters
- Johnnie Mae Swagerty
You can learn more about the work they do for the community each Wednesday when their stories air on News Channel 11 at 5.
At the end of the month, the local winner will be announced, who will go to the national competition.
