GRAY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Hundreds of medical professionals from the Tri-Cities region and across the country are volunteering to help give care to people from across our community.
The Remote Area Medical Clinic is set up at the Appalachian Fairgrounds in Gray this weekend, offering free medical, dental and vision care.
“When you look around at all of these people here volunteering. Nothing but their time and effort to care for fellow human beings. It gives you hope in humanity,” Dr. Bo Westmoreland of Westmoreland Dental Group in Johnson City said.
This is Dr. Westmoreland’s 9th RAM clinic.
“This is going to make it so much easier for me. The holidays are coming. Funds are tight nowadays, and this is just incredible,” RAM clinic patient, Stephanie Clark said.
The clinic continues on Sunday.
Tickets are handed out at 3 a.m. Care begins at 6 a.m.
You’re urged to arrive early.
