A prayer service will take place this weekend for a 12-year-old girl who remains in the hospital after she was struck by a car.

Kiara Tirado was riding her bicycle Monday when she was hit by the car. Her mother tells News Channel 11 that Kiara is in “stable” condition on a ventilator at Niswonger Children’s Hospital in Johnson City.

According to the Marion Police Department, a prayer service will be held for Kiara on Saturday, June 1 at 8 p.m. at Riverbend Park in Marion.

Police say the driver of the car that struck Kiara will not be charged in connection with the incident.
