Police think the man who robbed a bank in Johnson City last week also robbed a bank in Mt. Juliet, TN Tuesday afternoon.

The latest bank robbery happened just before 1 p.m. at US Bank, 300 Pleasant Grove Road in Mt. Juliet near Nashville.

Mt. Juliet Police said the man passed a note to a teller demanding money and then ran from the building.

Police described the suspect as a white male with a medium build who is   possibly in his 40’s or 50’s.   “At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a ball cap, black jacket, white shirt, and blue jeans,” police said.

“The suspect matches the description of a man who robbed a bank in Johnson City, Tennessee and Asheville, North Carolina,” according to Mt. Juliet Police.  “It is likely that the suspect is targeting banks along the interstate corridors.”

Police said the man matched the description of the man who robbed Mountain Commerce Bank, 3122 Bristol Highway, Johnson City last Friday just before 3 p.m..
