Two people now face charges after a recent traffic stop in Scott County.
According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, their interdiction team watched a blue Chevrolet sedan with a brake light out and swerving in and out of their lane on April 5.
Investigators say they stopped the vehicle and smelled a “strong odor of marijuana.”
After the driver gave consent to search his car, investigators say they found a “container that had a white crystal-like substance” inside and identified it as meth. They also reportedly discovered marijuana, prescriptions and $4,100 in cash.
Deputies say Joshua Thomas and John A. Hammonds are facing several drug charges from the incident.
