Package stores and consumption on premise is around the bend in Johnson County.
Voters made their voices heard, voting yes to consumption on-premise and package stores.
Package stores passed 3,183 to 2,628. Consumption on-premise passed 3,094 to 2,714.
The Johnson County Commission will vote soon whether to put the ordinances in effect.
If approved by the Commission, all of Northeast Tennessee will have package stores.
By a narrow margin, a sales and use tax also failed in the county.
The vote failed 2,940 to 2,679.
