Northeast Correctional on lockdown until ‘at least’ Tuesday; Injured officer ‘OK’

UPDATE

Robert Reburn, spokesperson for the Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City, stated the building is still on lockdown. 

“The lockdown is in place until at least tomorrow morning,” Reburn said.

Reburn added the officer that was injured during today’s incident was treated at a local hospital and released earlier today. 

“He is at home and OK,” he added. 

Northeast Correctional Complex was placed on lockdown following an incident Monday.

News Channel 11 confirmed with a spokesman that one correctional officer suffered non-life threatening injuries from the incident.

The Office of Investigations and Compliance is currently investigating.

Northeast Correctional Complex is located a few miles outside of Mountain City, Tennessee.
