New Bristol, Tenn. police chief sworn in

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Matt Austin was sworn in Tuesday as Bristol, Tennessee’s new police chief.

Austin was appointed to the role last week. He replaced Chief Blane Wade, who retired.

Austin has served in several capacities since he joined the police department in 1991.

He is also a Marine Corps veteran and an alumnus of the FBI National Academy.
