A one-mile run. 100 pull ups. 200 pushups. 300 squats.

Think you could do it?

Several people from across the region were at J. Fred Johnson Stadium today in Kingsport for the annual “Murph Challenge.”

People do the challenge above, all to raise money for the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

According to the organization’s website, the national fundraiser has raised over $1 million for the scholarship fund. Last year, the organization raised nearly $250,000 to begin construction on the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum/Sea Cadet Training Facility in Long Island, NY.

The organization also provided over 20 scholarships each year.
